Cut Out These Foods for a Good Mood

Hi everyone!

With my period fast approaching, I figured I would share which foods you should avoid eating during your period. 

1. Potato chips: this salty snack dehydrates the body and causes more bloating. I rarely eat chips so this is an easy snack to cut out. 

2. Coffee: caffeine is another contributor to bloating ... luckily, I am more of a tea drinker! 

3. Candy: too much sugar decreases serotonin levels. Serotonin is known as the "happy chemical" since it contributes to happiness and wellbeing. This is probably the hardest snack to stop eating since I love vegan gummies! 

4. Dairy: eating too much dairy increases the hormones that cause period cramps. This is an easy one to cut out since I prefer vegan "cheeses".
